Just joined the list: 1930 census for Amherst County, VA Elon Dist. shows Bobie Gottschall born: Prussia speaks German.She came to America abt 1856 as Barbara Honig age 16. Met and married my great grandfather John Henry Gottschall from Zurick Switzerland. Story goes her mother died and her father remarried to younger woman so she came to USA. Her father owned and operated a 'brewery' either in Hamburg or Berlin. I am trying to find out her father's (Honig) and mother's first name. How would I find a business that far back?
