    3. Hello, I am also new to this list. I have been researching my family roots since last October and it is just amazing how addicted this gets!!!! My great great grandfather was a William Christian Reinhard, according to his obit he was born" in Dukedom of Nassau, Germany. Born May 23, 1820, he immigrated to New York in 1841. I have found a Wilh Reinhard Arrival date June 16, 1841. Age 21 Port of Departure Bremen, states he is from Dillenburg, and is a "joiner" for occupation. He was single at this time, meeting his wife here in America. He was a carpenter and house builder here in the states... I am pretty sure this is him...I then can follow him from Milwaukee starting with the 1850 Census. His father and mother and the rest of his family came over in 1852, also settling in Milwaukee. His father was also William Chrisitan Reinhard and his mother was Maria Catharina Reinhard. My question is may I have some help in finding him in Germany before he left? I would appreciate any help I can get.... My other great great grandparents came from Norway and that was a treat finding them! Uffda! Without another list's help I would never have found them! So, I hope I am in the right place....and I am happy to be here! Sandy --------------------------------- Any questions? Get answers on any topic at Yahoo! Answers. Try it now.
