Is there a specific group for the Otterndorf area or anyone with access to records. My people were from around there, some maybe from Hadein or Hadeln(small village) Also have Mensing and Scharff from the Bremen area, but no luck finding info on them. First names are: Marie Einstein(Marr: Thode) Augusta Mensing(or Scharff) Marr: Thode Edward, Henry, Carl, August, Catherine, Caroline, and one other sister, children of John Jacob Thode(who b/d in Germany) and Marie Einstein (B: Ger D:Jo Daviess County, IL) All sons but Henry and Carl came to JDC. Henry came to NY City(wife: Eliza Lohman) and I think Carl died in Ger.
