No, the second series of Germans to America is for different dates, 1840 going up to 1850 when the first series started. There are many, many more passenger lists besides that series, and most are much more accurate. The best tack is to go look at the originals at the National Archives. The transcriptions are full of errors (in the books) and apparently the CD's are even worse, from what I've read. I rarely use CD's for any research for that reason.
