Dear LIst, Amazing the questions asked and answers found by this group. My Moser family spent 200 years in Freudental/Odessa before departing for the US, I am sure some stayed in Russia. Tracing back 9 generations from Freudental/Odess through Verbas, Hungary we find Jakob Moser, birth 24 May 1773 in Altweilen, Nassau,a Taurien, (Germany). Jakob's wife is Charistina Rehorn (Rehner) 29 Sept 1774 in Kroffelbach, Pfalz Palatinate (Germany). Can anyone pin down the location of either of these two birth locations.
