Could someone please help be by doing a lookup on Germans to America. My Ancestor is Simon Jacob Navo and Wife Theresa Flick. We know they were in New Orleans before 1850 as the first Son (John)was born in 1850. Theresa Flick says she was born in Baden. They settled and raised a family in New Orleans, La. There is a John Navo that settled in St. Louis, Mo. The ages of Simon and John is 2 yrs apart. I always thought they might be brothers- as they both said on the census they were born in Prussia. Navo is not a usual German name. Any help is appreciated. Family Legend says they came into America Thru New Orleans. This has not been confirmed.
