    3. Josie, I don't know if it's any help but I have a Tilgner in my family tree - Charlotte Tilgner, born 21 Jan 1880 in Breslau, Silesia, Germany. She is the second wife of my great grandfather, who was a Lutheran minister. She is not related to me so I don't have much further information about her and her family. In fact, if you search on FamilySearch.org, the LDS site, for Tilgner in Germany, the vast majority seem to come from Silesia (now part of Poland). Best of luck to you!
