On a passport application, in the 1890s, a clerk recorded that an ancestor said he was born in (something like) "HANUSKEIL, TRIER, PRUSSIA". I have searched all over to try to find what town he may have meant, but to no avail. Does anyone have an idea of where it was, or if it has changed and what its modern name is?
