I've only half paid attention to this thread so I'm not sure if this suggestion has been posted before, but just in case it hasn't. . . It seems to me that the Bremen departure lists are now online or coming online. Have you checked this out? Also, you don't need to know the exact spelling to search the Castle Garden lists. Start at Steve Morse's site at http://stevemorse.org/ and select the line that starts with Castle Garden Passengers (without the leading $). And lastly, why do you believe they were from Prussia? It was not unusual for people from all over what we now call Germany and Poland and some fringe areas to state they were from Prussia. Why? Because 1) the area was under Prussian rule at the time they came, or 2) what we call Germany didn't exist when they came and there was a period when most Americans had heard of Prussia but did not know the entity (Baden, Wuerttemburg, Bavaria, etc) where the person had actually come from). If it was under Prussian rule for a time such as the Palatine, you won't find much looking in traditional Prussian locations. This may not apply to you, but I guarantee there are members of this list who should be looking elsewhere for their "Prussian" ancestors. If there's a tidbit in this post, good. If not, just read it as more hot air from another lister. Paul from Portland, Oregon
