Thanks for all the ideas - the name of the village is handwritten, I would assume by the clerk of the court that filled out the naturalization papers in Cleveland, OH. I have no idea how to make my computer use anything but american letters. I have an old computer and don't know if that is even possible??? I tried changing the first letter to Z, I then came up with Zlottow - which is in what used to be Prussia but is now northern Poland. I'm not sure how to find any records from there. Thanks again las **************Make your summer sizzle with fast and easy recipes for the grill. (http://food.aol.com/grilling?ncid=emlcntusfood00000005)
You may be able to find records (on CDROMs) through Stanley Frymark ([email protected]). I'm not certain what parish Zlotowo is/was in, but Stanley would know. It's also important to know what religion your family was - Catholic or Evangelical.
