    3. Hi Glen, I don't know what you already know so some to most of this may be a review for you. For the town's website, go to muelheim-ruhr.de At the bottom of the page you can select English. It appears, however, that the English section is only a static summary of the site. There is a very short Wikipedia piece on the city at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%BClheim This area was part of Prussia for a relatively brief period. I suggest you look for a more appropriate list than the Prussia list. Your city is in the modern German province of North Rhine Westphalia so you might try the Nordrhein-Westfalen list. Go to: http://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/index/intl/DEU/NORDRHEIN-WESTFALEN.html The city's population is about 170,000 so there are going to be several Lutheran churches. You'll need to figure out which ones were in existence in 1864. The LDS FH Library has films for several Lutheran churches in the city. Since you have a date, if you were in Salt Lake City it wouldn't take long to check them all and find which church. Alternately, you can rent the films one by one and have them sent to your local FH Center. From you question, you may already know these details. I hesitate to give you more information since you may already know all of this. That's a start.
