    3. Hi Sheila, After YEARS of trying to find a hint on the Yadea surnme, I am still clueless. The name is from notes my mother collected over the years (decades), but she has no idea of the source. I am currently working on the speculation that Yadea is a phonetically incorrect spelling of the name Gaede (gay-d written as yeah-d). There is some evidence indicating that Ferdinand Morse had a sister, Augusta, who was married to a man named Fred Gaede. Fred and Augusta Gaede lived close to Ferdinand and Anna Morse and in the household of Fred and Augusta Gaede lived Ferdinand Morse, listed in the census as father-in-law. He, the elder Ferdinand Morse, was of an age suggesting that he could be the father of both Augusta Gaede and her neighbor the younger Ferdinand Morse. No definitive documentation yet, but this is my current research project. Thanks for your help, JB ----- Original Message ----- > Date: Fri, 3 Jul 2009 14:20:00 -0500 > From: Sheila Kapella <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [PRUSSIA-ROOTS] Please help me find the link from > Castlegarden to Prussia > To: [email protected] > Message-ID: > <[email protected]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 > > JB: If the church is still operating they will have the records; if not, > most denominations have an archive; why would they have attended a Swedish > church - unless, of course, it was the nearest one of their denomination? > Did I find Anna's maiden name to be "Yadea(u)?
