I would sign up with them and go right ahead and put your queries in English. Most Germans speak English anayway and some will help with translation if there is a problem. The website is http://famint.de Once you are a member (it's totally free of course) you can upload documents, links, photos etc. In case you get documents from Germany or another neighoring country you can upload them and somebody else can translate it for you Perhaps you finally will find your connection.
