    3. Michael: Have you searched probate files? What about marriage and death records for the children? Have you looked at the microfilm of the ship records rather than just what's available online? The films often have the birthplace or last residence which rarely got transcribed into a data base. Just checking. What is the name and location (and synod) of the church? Some lutheran church records are on microfilm in the synod archives and are available for borrowing. Sheila K.
