    3. I'm sure one of the Prussia/Pomerania experts can help you better than I can. My ancestors arrived in New York from Bremen, Germany. :You might also try www.ellisisland.org or www.castlegarden.org. They're both free online, might have to register with them. Occasionally the record will give the village of origin or of residence. Ancestry.com has ships' manifests also, & I access that at my Anchorage library or at the National Archives in town.
