I went back to www.familysearch.org as I have seen death records for Texas Name: John Heible (this is how it is spelled) DOD: 10 Jun 1916 Death Place: Victoria County, Texas Gender: Male Race: White Death Age: 77 years Estimated Birth Date: 1839 Birth Place: Germany Marital Status: Widowed Mother's Name: Anna Goehler Mother's Birthplace: Germany Occupation: famer Cemetery: Catholic Cemetery Burial Date: 11 June 1916 film number: 2051626 digital film number: 4165881 Image Number: 1184 Reference Number: 15411 Your friend should order a copy of the death certificate, it may reveal a lot more, even the specific town Johann was born in. Once she has that and there is a specific location, we can look for the Catholic archives in Germany.
