Let me check my records to see what I can find about your Pruitts. My Pruitts were also from Calhoun/Cleburne/Benton Co. They were in that area when it was still Benton Co, AL. My g gf, William Jasper Pruitt, was born in Arbacooche, Cleburne Co, AL on 13 Dec 1842. Cleburne was also created from Benton County. The town no longer exists. I'll get back to you with what I find.
