These two families have been confused over the years. I have a copy of a DAR paper that it is clearly my Jacob and connects to the Madison Co., AL PRUETT's. The Martin and William PRUETT from Elbert Co., GA connect to my Jacob and I think others have tried to connect it to your Jacob. This is where I think much research needs to be done( especially in Georgia) to hopefully "sort out" these two families.
