I can prove my line to my gg grandfather, William Prewitt b. 1814 TN m. Hannah Caroline Collins in Monroe Co. TN in 1836. They left TN before 1870 and came to TX. I think William was the son of John Prewitt b. ca 1793 TN and Elizabeth Tucker b. CA 1794 TN who were married in Jefferson Co. TN in 1812. John and Elizabeth were in Monroe Co. in 1830 and Bradley Co. TN in 1840 & 50. I think this line goes back from John to William b. 1760 VA d.Aug 1849 Meigs Co. TN to Thomas Jr. b 1721 in Halifax Co.
