    3. Marci, I have been wondering about the Confererate Money. Obviously William A. Pruett was paid either for Military Service or he sold something to the Government most likely Military. Perhaps he raised horses that he sold to the Military or something like that????? That would be my guess. The Civil War was form (1861-1865). This court case was in Aug of 1866. I would say that beings it was at the end of the Civil War that he was made take the Confederate money under Military Power. Which at that time Confederate money had lost its value. So they were taking this matter to court.......... That would be my opinion. Feel free to give your opinion on this matter.     3. Robert, That is very possible he, William may have done that, he maybe was too old for the civil war to serve. Born after the Rev. War, and too old for the Civil War. I recall my grandmother telling the story about her grandparents having a whole trunk full of worthless money after the war that the kids played with.
