John Moore (This information is from "Clark County, Arkansas" A Genealogical Source Book Vol. 2 compiled by Pauline Williams Wright and Barbara McDow Caffee Gateway Press 1994 Mary Ann Mahala Pruitt was my g. g. grandmother through her son, Robert Beggs who married Nancy Turner. All I know about Mary Ann is what is shown in the census records. She was born in Tenn. ca 1831. She married Isaac D. Beggs in Clark Co. AR. Jan. 25, 1849. The marriage license states that he was living in Upshur Co., TX and they are on the 1850 Census in Upshur Co., TX. with 1 child Wm N. (maybe for Nelson) b. ca 1849/50. The Beggs family moved back to AR by 1860. Isaac Dudley Beggs d. 1863 - 1865 Prob. during the Civil War. He enlisted in Clark Co. AR. Probate record of Clark Co., listed children of Mary and Isaac. All were listed except Wm. N. Hiram Pruitt paid outstanding tax on property. I would really like to know the parents of Mary Ann (Nelson) Pruitt, when she died, where she is buried, if her grave is marked, etc. I would truly appreciate any help that you could give me. I have hit a brick wall as far as finding parents or other information. Thanks in advance Fran
