Hi, I tried the "Oath" site by clicking on the URL and it came up "not found on RootsWeb". that is not the reason I am writing. I too have Pruitt and Morrisett connections. I am descended from Thomas J. Pruitt and Sarah Estes who came from Granville County, NC about 1826 to Gibson County, TN (just in time to have my GG-GM Elizabeth - who married John P. Gill in 1848). I am also descended from Kiziah Morrisett who married William Stone in TN before 1805. she died 1850 and is buried in an unmarked grave in Montgomery County TN. I have the Pruitt line fairly well documented (thanks to Richard Prewitt' s book(s) on the Pruitt/Prewitt families). It is the Morrisett line that has me stumped. I know there were Morrisett' s in Dickson County, and that this is very likely the line she comes from. There were also Morrisett' s in Humphreys County and would bet that line is related. I just have not been able to find anything to peg her in there. The only real documentaion I found that she even existed is that she sued William for divorce in 1831 (but apparently never left him as they were together in Montgomery County when she died). Her death came from the 1850 Mortality Index. Family lore has her buried in Old Shiloh Cem. in Montgomery County (Just North of the Dickson county line). I have not been able to locate their marriage record --- suspect it occurred in E. Tennessee. Do you have any Morrisett information that might tie in to Kiziah?
