Prewitt b. 25 Aug 1845 in Sedalia,Pettis County, MO. He married Octavia Delphi Smith b. April 1860 in Summerville, Chattooga County, GA. They raised their children in and around Cass County, TX. Octavia Smith Prewitt is buried in Cass County, but we can not find a burial place for William who died in 1906 (we think). It was told he left the family when the children were young, but are not sure of it. Chidren were: (According to 1900 Cass County, TX Census) Katie Bell, Nov 1884 (Katherine) James W., Aug 1886 (James William, my grandfather) J.W. Sept 1888 (John Word) Jeff. Aug 1890 (Thomas Jefferson)Other info says b.Sept 1891 Jno B. Oct 1892 Jos.L. June 1897 (Joseph Lewis) Hope someone can shed some light on this family. Thanks, Karen
