My Pruitt's are from Va. also. William Pruitt Sr. b. 1714 and married Mary Martin about 1747. He lived on the N. side of the Yadkin River. in what is now Davidson Co., N.C., It is known he may of also lived in Washington Co., VA. from the marriage place of a daughter. Some Pruitts were in Henrico Co., Va. early. Origin of Pruitt name seems to mostly come from England.
