In the title of every one of those Volumes, how is the name spelled: Prewitt OR Pruitt ? Thanks.

He is using standard spellings in his titles, as records found in county, census etc. of the Pruitts can be of many spellings and the same for records found of in census from 1790 on. Spellings can change in a family line of Pruitt sir name down through the generations in a single family line. For an example,I am a Preuit, my grt grandfather was Pruitt, and five times grt was Pruet. To make it more simple, I line mine up as Preuit and make note of name change in the generations into my software. Richard A. Prewitt has his titles with standard spellings he has chosen, the records in his books contained are of varied Pruitt spellings found in the census, court houses, history books etc. and for varied family lines.
