More 1850 census Southern Twp. Pittsylvania Co., Pa. Thomas S. Pruet 36 Va. Susan (Epperson) 38 Va. Francis (fe) 13 Va. Sarah 10 Va. Thomas 5 Va. appears to be the first wife. Keep in mind Pittsylvania Co. was formed in 1766-67 from Halifax CO.. Therefore Pruitts of varied spelling would be listed also, and hadn't moved, county changed. When Pittsylvania County was formed from Halifax, there were Prewitt's living in three different parts of the County. In the northwest corner, Byrd Pruitt lived on Straightstone Creek, : in the central portion, Henry Pruitt and Uriah Pruitt Jr. lived on Cherrystone Creek and the Banister River, and in the southern portion, Samuel Pruitt11 lived on Sandy Creek of the Dan River. I hope the information will help you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "rstu" <rstu@saintmail.net> To: <PRUITT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, November 25, 2000 12:40 PM Subject: Re: [PRUITT] Introduction > No, sorry.
