Hello everyone: I have two Pruit, Pruitt lines I need help to discover. First: My great grandmother: Cordie Cordelia Pruitt, b. March 27th, 1880 in Helicon, Crenshaw County, Alabama; married Walter H. Grierson in Moss Point, Mississippi in 1906. She died in Amanuel County, Alabama in 1963 & was the dau. of SAMUEL PRUITT & Callie May or Mae Pruitt. Scondly: My great-great-grandmother: Elizabeth Pruit who married Alfred Simmons & was the mother of Bessie Mae (nee Pruit) Simmons of which family lived in and around Shelby County, Illinois -some 50 years ago.
