Hi all, I am trying to find the children of William Thompson and Elizabeth Prewitt. Elizabeth was the daughter of Dudley Pruitt, Sr. and Ann. She was born in South Carolina in 1778. She married first, William Thompson. They had twelve children. William was killed by an Indian in the Bibb County, Alabama area around 1817. I believe their children were born in South Carolina, Georgia, and maybe Alabama. After William's death Elizabeth married J. Pierson. They had three more children. Sometime after William's death, Elizabeth and family moved to Pickens County, Alabama. And sometime after J. Pierson's death, Elizabeth and family moved to Choctaw County, Mississippi. I believe she was living with Elijah Thompson at the time of the 1840 census. I am looking for proof that he was her and William's child. I would also like to know their other children's names as well as the names of the children of her second husband. I know one of those children was named William J. Pierson. He too had moved to Choctaw County, Mississippi and lived down the road from Elijah. Any information on these lines would be appreciated. Kent L. Townsend
