Thank Cora for the info on how to delete our names! I was also list but it had the wrong birthdate Cherlynn ........................................................ iWon.com http://www.iwon.com why wouldn't you? ........................................................
Dear Listers: Per Ann's previous message, it does not hold true that birthdates are from 1960. My father was also listed and he is 80+ years old. A deceased nephew of ours was also listed. Cora Pruitt
Thanks for all the info about anybirthday. I was able to find a schoolmate I had lost track of. Being a common name, the birthdate helped me find which one it was from the names across the USA. Dear Listers: The website: anybirthdate.com, can become a dangerous situation. As Debbie G. previously mentioned, she was listed. I checked for my name and sure enough I was also listed. You can delete the information from the database. Go to FAQ, then to PRIVACY, then OPT OUT. Enter the data as it appears on the website. Check the site later and your data s/b removed. I subscribe to Dick Eastman's weekly genealogical newsletter. In his recent issue he mentions a new website called "anybirthday.com". I thought he was kidding when he said that he went to the website and found his own name and birthdate listed. I tried for my maiden name in the town where I was born. Well, I got a surprise - there were 4 of 9 of my family listed with the exact birthdate. My father was listed 4 times (why - I have no idea). Along with him was his sister-in-law, my cousin (before she married), and a cousin-in-law. Missing were my father's brother and sister, my mother and another cousin and his son. I then entered my married name in the town I currently live. Well, there I was with the correct birthdate but my husband wasn't. Where they got these names and dates I have no idea, but evidently someone has inside information which is already out there and our private life is no longer private. All a person has to know is a last name and they can get a name and birthdate for their genealogical data files. Debbi Geer
Posted on: Pruitt Queries Board URL: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Pruitt?read=129 Surname: ------------------------- Bill: Where was your Lucy Wyatt from? My Wyatt's (or Wiatt or Watt) were in Greene Co IL supposedly. I know that Eliza and Amos Pruitt married in Greene Co IL but it could have been that portion of Greene Co which is now Jersey Co IL. At its conception, Greene Co included what is now Greene Co and Jersey Co IL. In 1839 Jersey Co was created. Being that Eliza died in 1840, I cannot find any of her relation living with her husband and children (6) in 1850. Amos remarried by that time and was starting another family which had 11 children. This remarriage ended up in divorce and Amos married a third time which resulted in another 3 children he fathered. I have a copy of the marriage license for Eliza and Amos and know where she's buried at. Unfortunately in the last 3 to 5 years, her stone has disappeared. The only reason for its disappearance is that someone went in the cemetery and did a thorough cleanup, possibly with large equipment and damaged it beyond a point which would allow them to leave it at the burial site. The stone was standing upright and was quite legible. Luckily I have a photo of it. Do you have any idea as to who Lucy's parents were or her time period? Eliza lifespan was from 2 Nov 1811 to 5 Feb 1840. Debbi

Dear PRUITT researchers, Here is yet another yearly post from me concerning my PRUITT ancestry. I am trying to establish the parentage of John B. PRUITT/PREWITT (bc 1818, dc 1870). John B. first appears in the 1840 Grayson Co., KY census, listed as age 22 and single. In the 1850 census, the listing shows that in the intervening 10 years, he has married Nancy and has had 3 children. The census shows that his 3rd child and firstborn son, William R., was born within six months of the taking of the census data (about January, 1850). In the 1860 Grayson Co. census, he has had more children, and has a visitor living with him, William R., aged one year younger than John B. William R. was possibly a brother--note that John named his first son "Wm. R." Also, family tradition says John's children had an "Uncle Billy". It is family tradition that John's wife was Nancy THOMAS (bc 1824, dc 1910), daughter of Burgess THOMAS (bc 1803) and Rebecca SKAGGS, residents of Millerstown, Grayson Co., KY. Burgess' father, Enos THOMAS, Sr. (bc 1756), was said to have a steam mill and farm on Rock Creek, Grayson Co., KY. Enos' home was also used as the Methodist Meeting House for the area. Burgess' wife, Rebecca (bc 1798) was said to be the daughter of Henry SKAGGS, Rev. War vet, and Nancy (possibly a DAVIS). I have a property deed for the land that contained the PRUITT homestead. John purchased the land from one Asher BODINE. It is possible that the BODINE's had a family connection to John B. PRUITT. If anyone has information on any of the above PRUITT, THOMAS, SKAGGS, or BODINE families, I sure would love to hear from you. Please help!

Posted on: Pruitt Queries Board URL: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Pruitt?read=122 Surname: Pruitt ------------------------- Thomas, I don't believe that helps, but I do wonder if some of my Pruett family (as we actually spell it) may have split up when my gggrandfather first settled in Wilkinson County. It may be a possibility that did occur. As per the Dodge County History book, my ggrandfather, Wyley Henry, and his brothers came to Dodge, but they may have had an uncle or uncles that went other ways. All I know about my gggrandfather is that his name was E.W.H. Allen Pruett m. Mary Jane Mercer. Wish I could help more. Sheila

Posted on: Pruitt Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Pruitt?read=120 Surname: ------------------------- Thomas: I don't have any direct connection to Pruitts in GA. However that doesn't mean that I don't have relatives living there now no matter what the relationship is (even several times removed). Since you mention a date of 1971 I don't think it would be wise to send me information unless you meant 1771. Thanks. Debbi
