Hi Margaret, Luis is harmless, he so often likes to add "spice," to a posting... I have had my share of "heated discussions," with him.. Your posting focused on genealogy and how to obtain records... if we were not proud of our Portuguese ancestry, (the good and the bad) we would not be so involved in finding/learning about them... It's possible that Luis KW's years spent in a USA College gave him only the "left side of view," of our history...Luis and I share common ancestry, though centuries removed, his family elected to remain in Portugal, and mine migrated to the USA... Proud to be an American Proud to have Portuguese blood running through my veins. Pat, My my....:) left view???? Hahahah Luis does have an absolute right to his views even if they are left of center. I am still convinced our Abreu lines connect somewhere...just haven't figured out where yet, I am convinced all the Abreu's on the island are related. Hope all is well with you. Lou, You're more than right... Luis K.W. does have a right to his views.... If I didn't think that I wouldn't have added my "two cents." ;--)... Most likely we do share common ancestry... All is well at this end hope the same for you and your family. Pat p.s. Luis has Abreu ancestry also... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lou Abreu" <labreu@cablespeed.com> To: <prt-madeira@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, October 12, 2006 1:06 PM Subject: Re: [PT-MADEIRA] Mozambique (Portuguese) Research > Pat, > > My my....:) left view????
