Linda, Yes, you had found the record of my GG grandparents marriage. While in Funchal , I was going to get a copy of that record for my documentation and also that of their parents. When I was unable to do that do to the archive being in the process of being moved, the staff took down the information and said they would mail them to me. I received them a few days ago. A bill for the copies was included. It was only .75 Euro. I have a little more than that in coins that I came back with. It might cost me a couple US dollars in postage to mail the three coins to the archive. Still the cost is reasonable. The main reason for wanting to visit the archive was to determine if they have the register of passports from the time my great grandparents had come to New York. We have my great grandmother's passport. Several years ago, I had ordered the register of passports film at the FNC. I wanted to see if my great grandfather had traveled with his family or if he had come earlier. About years are missing on the film. The archive in Funchal confirmed that the records are missing, it was not a failure to get the records on the film. I will surly take you up on your offer to look up records. Thanks a bunch. I think a while back I did look up de Agrella for you and found! It seems as I read of the families and research that people on "the list" have done and their connections, I wonder why more don't have connections to Arco da Calheta.
