    3. Hello all, As you may know, my life has been upside down this year. I'm having a bit of a problem coming up with article ideas as my brain is just plain tired! I'm putting out this offer... Do you have an interesting story about your ancestors? It doesn't have to be earth shattering like getting nobel peace prize. All it needs to be is related to Portuguese or Portuguese Hawaiian genealogy, heritage, or history. If so, write up your story and email it to me. If accepted, your article will be posted on www.islandroute.com <http://www.islandroute.com> I know that everyone has an interesting story in their past. It might be a story of how your ancestors came to Hawaii, the jobs they did on the sugar plantation, how your ancestor owned a small business, how your grandma kept the family together, how your great aunt made the best bread, what a story teller your uncle was, an heirloom that was handed down through generations, how it was for you to find your ancestor's records in Hawaii, and so forth. The requirements: 1. Your article should be at least 3 paragraphs. (It can be longer than that but that's the minimum) 2. It must be related to Portuguese or Portuguese Hawaiian genealogy, history, and heritage. 3. It must be clean (but it can be funny!) 4. Articles may be edited for spelling errors or grammar to make them easier to read. 5. If you have a photograph/graphic to go with it, tell me about it in your email, but don't include it. Sometimes there are size limitations...and my anti-spam filter might block the attachment. In exchange, you will be given an author byline and full credit. Your article will also include an "about the author" box which may include a tidbit about you and your research, your email address, and a link to your genealogy homepage/website if you have one. (Author box roughly 5-10 lines) The article will either go in the Portuguese or the Portuguese Hawaiian section of the website (depending where it fits best) Remember to email them to me and not to the list. I will respond to each submission. Thanks in advance!
