Paulo: Manuel Martins Pereira and Paula da Silva are also my 8th great grandparents. Does that make us first cousins 8 times removed? 10 times removed? :-) I was just looking back in my records and see that Paula's parents were Manuel da Silva de Mendonca and Ignacia das Neves (married August 25, 1659, in Santo Antonio), and that Ignacia's parents were Domingos Fernandes Romano and Maria Jorge. Here is the Romao/Romano family again! Have you found them in any records on the NESOS site (which is still down....)
