Friends, I am looking for information about the ancestors and descendents of Manuel Pereira, born 24 May 1852 at Ponta do Sol, and Maria Eugenia Fernandes, born about 1858 at São Jorge. Manuel and Maria Eugenia were married on Madeira in February 1879. Their first child, Maria, was born 4 Dec 1879 on Madeira (probably in the São Pedro district of Funchal). Another child, Clara, was born 21 Mar 1882 (probably in the São Pedro district of Funchal). Manuel, Maria Eugenia and both children emigrated to Hawaii in 1883. Manuel's father is Antonio Pereira, likely born at Ponta do Sol. Manuel's mother is Maria Joaquina de Jesus, likely born at Ponta do Sol. Manuel's age suggests both parents were born before 1830.
