    2. Hello Paulo, I had told you about finding a DeGrella from Madeira in the 1860 census for the area where the Madeira Exiles settled in the United States. You may recall that I said that this person may have actually been de Agrella and just like my ancestors the census taker misunderstood the name and wrote the name as DeGrella. The transcription has the name as Jardin. David
