Hello everyone: A while back someone out there was asking questions about the surname "Senha". I don't remember the exact questions but I believe that there was a question about it actually being a name, and if so, its roots, etc. At the time I had not heard of it, but as an American non-native speaker, I did not think I had anything of value to add to the discussion. I am currently looking at microfilm for Machico, Madeira and I came across a marriage record index from 1639 with the bride listed as Catarina Nunes de Senha. If someone out there would like me to look at that particular record and get info from it, I would be happy to help. I should be back in that film later on this week. So-just let me know.
