Greetings: I run a website where I display a town-by-town index of entries found on GEDCOM files I download off other people's websites. Portugal doesn't really have much on my site, but what it does have is quite a bit for Funchal. Anybody with an interest in this town should visit http://gedcomindex.com/Towns/ptfuncha.html noting that the words are often corrupted because the GEDCOM file to which I link is using the ANSEL character set which I haven't fully programmed my machine to read correctly. If you see anything that matches your lines, download the GEDCOM file and load it into a new database in your genealogy software.
