    3. HELLO Leandro: Our Campanario relations were Gonsalves, Moniz, d'Abreu, Fernandes, and Faria. I did an extensive search of the films of the church Sao Braz and couldnot get any further than 1874 when my grandparents were married. I requested information from the Archives in Madeira and was told they didnot have records before that because of the church fire. My mother mentioned that very early in the 1800's the family came from Ribeira Grande. I also spoke with the Biachi family because they had a family search of our family because my grandmother was the Ama for their oldest son. He could not remember if they still had the information. That was in 1979. In the book Arquivo Historico da Madeira I see reference to the marriage of Joao de Abreu and Maria de Jesus in 1841, book 316 page 22. That was in the concelho de Camara de Lobos and I donot know if they were family. Very sorry that I cannot help you further with that part of the family but it has been a road block for six years. I had to take a leave of absence from searching because I had a husband who was ill, however I am now trying to get back into the swing of things again.
