Hello! I am also researching in Machico and Sao Vicente - I am looking for information on the family of Carolina Franco daughter of Manuel Franco and Francisca de Jesus from Machico. They immigrated to Hawaii from Madeira in 1883. Manuel was the son of Antonio Franco "Grilo" and Ana da Silva. Francisca was the daughter of Manuel Franco and Maria de Jesus. >From Sao Vicente, I am also researching Theresa Pestana D'Assumpcao. She is the daughter of Manuel Pestana D'Assumpcao and Virgilina Maria. They also immigrated to Hawaii from Madeira in 1883. Manuel was the son of Manuel Pestana D'Assumpcao and Feliciana de Jesus.
