Back - Last April you wrote: Antonio Esteves (son of Antonio Esteves and ..... da Silva). The name of his mother was also Antonia. Im descended thru Antonio Esteves and Antonia da Silva's son, Francisco Esteves that married in 7 nov 1631 a Maria Rodrigues....OOOOOOPPPSSSS. just writing now and i can see that!!!!!actually the Antonio Esteves that you listed marrying in 7 nov 1631 is indeed MY ANCESTOR Francisco Esteves (son of Antonio Esteves and Antonia da Silva!!!!!!!!). I looked over the microfilm again and again today, along with the names that were listed in the index for the marriage couples listed. This is what I found and the index of names agrees with what the record states: 7 Nov 1631 Antonio Esteves, son of Antonio Esteves and .....da Silva married Maria Goncalves....cannot make out parents names Aug 1633 Francisco Esteves, son of ...............and Maria Jorge married Maria Goncalves daughter of (looks like) Manuel Jardim and Isabel. I think this is contrary to the information you have, unless your Francisco was married someplace else than Arco da Calheta. I could make you copies of both records to send to you.
