Tomorrow I'll send her an email, requesting source information for researching in SA, along with requesting her fee structure for her services. Hi Pat, There are quite a few listings for genealogy help for South Africa, however, if it's a case of obtaining records and help navigating the system, I would definitely recommend having someone based in SA to do it. Anne has contributed various articles to numerous genealogical sites and also has her own site/blog at http://southafricanresearcher.blogspot.com/2010/04/early-portuguese-settlers-in-south.html The name Martins is listed on the site as one of the early Madeiran settlers. I'm not sure of Greg's dates, perhaps it predates his ancestors, but worth a look.
