    3. I haven't used ancestry.com much for research and I found it was complicated for sharing with family that don't speak English. I've use myheritage.com which I think is a subsidiary of ancesty.com. Has a change language option and great for sharing. As Cece pointed out make it private because the enthusiasm of neophytes - while wonderful - is often the creator of these problems. For the most part they have no idea how pain much painstaking research goes into the genealogical research, and for many there is simply no interest in continuing the research/tree. It's just the novelty. Myheritage.com send you smart matches, giving you the option to view the suggested matches and then accept or reject them. Not sure if it's the same on ancestry.
