Greg, It's always "fun/interesting," to know the origin of a given surname, but one must start with oneself and working back establish a direct connection to the next generation in your line. Once doing that you can along the way add "branches," to your tree, ie uncles/aunts/cousin etc... Rootsweb lists are not allow "attachments," but if you locate an interesting website you can in your posting to the list refer to the URL address for that site.
