Hi Philip,   I haven't ordered from the Judicial Archive that referenced a lawsuit.  But I did order an "Inventaria" of assets for my paternal great grandmother, who died 26 Aug 1888 Lombo da Estrella, Calheta.   It was difficult for me to read, but what I did understand was very interesting...especially when it noted the location/description of her 15 property holdings, naming the individuals that owned land adjacent to hers.   As an example: " Norte com a Ribaria, Sul com Manoel da Silva Se', Leste com Joao da Silva Se', Oeste com Antonio de Freitas.    At the time my paternal grandmother has mentioned as being 24 and single... she married Antonio da Silva Se' on 18 Feb 1889, and my father was their second son born on Dec 27, 1891.    Happy Holidays to you and your family!
