Thank You Dear Primo Miguel, What do you know about "de Sa', and Rodrigues da Sa'? As for Carric,o.. Sr. Mello pointed out the same as you did about a small bird as well as a plant. It's an alcunha in my lines..but I've seen it used as a surname... Furthermore the "de" as in de Sá is never present with Silva or Serrão. There are no "de Silvas". Just "da Silva". Neither "de Serrão", Just Serrão. So she was certainly a " de Sá". On other hand Carrico could be Carriço, (a name meaning a very small bird and also the name of a plant) best regards, Miguel On Tue, Jun 21, 2011 at 10:04 PM, Pat Corbera <PatriciaCorbera@comcast.net>wrote: > > Anyone researching the following family/surname of Rodrigues de Sa'? > > Joao Rodrigues "Carrico," m. abt 1595 to Catarina Rodrigues they the > parents of Francisco Rodrigues "Carrico," bapt June 1, 1602 Estreito da > Calheta.
