( per census) but no record of his parents siblings etc..He married ELIZABETH KIME in IN..They came to OR. on the "LOST WAGONTRAIN OF 1853". I know their childrens names etc..I'm looking to find info. on him and his parents siblings etc.. Any help is appreciated. The first thing that you would have to do is to sell us when your family left Scotland. If they left after 1855 the chances are that they would have been recorded in public documents, however if it was before say 1700 you might be pushing it depending which parish they were from. Came over as prisoners can be true or may not be. It all depends when. As Scotland lost her independence in 1707 and was not actually able to trade officially with the English colonies before then I don't quite understand what you mean. Perhpas you would clarify what you are saying and give us dates. Edward ANdrews Linda Rogers <cuppycakes@sbcglobal.net> wrote: Nice meeting you Emma.My name is Linda and I have a few questions. I don't know what date they arrived here ie VA.But one family ,HUTCHISONS,seem to be in VA in the early 1700's.In 1810 a family member ,JOHN HUTCHISON,and his family left for TN. and they didn't have a PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH to worship at and eventually they became "CUMBERLAND PRESBYTERIANS". Another family PHILIP KIME/KIEM/KEIM was in PA. and migrated to then VA later NC.His son CHRISTIAN KIME/KEIM/KIEM was naturalized in VA in the 1700's.I have to wonder about this family as it seems that the first to arrive here was a JOHANNE? KEIM who arrived with WILLIAM PENN and the two of them opened the PHILADELPHIA TRADING COMPANY in PHILADELPHIA,PA and PHILLIP KIME/KEIM/KIEM was buried in a QUAKER CHURCH CEMETERY.But after that they are all PRESBYTERIANS. Those two families are the one's I am mostly interested in. Thank You,Linda --- EDWARD ANDREWS <edward.andrews@btinternet.com> wrote: > The first thing that you would have to do is to sell > us when your family left Scotland. > If they left after 1855 the chances are that they > would have been recorded in public documents, > however if it was before say 1700 you might be > pushing it depending which parish they were from. > > Came over as prisoners can be true or may not be. > It all depends when.
