    3. Given that the source is the Mitchell Library it is almost certainly the New Edition of Fasti. The reason why I ask is that if you can get hold of the Hew Scott edition, it is much more entertaining and tactually often tells us more about the people than the new edition - by 1915 or whenever there was a tendency to censor the information and cut it down. (It was Harry Miller the minister of Iona who pointed thing out to me a long time ago.) The problem is that the only copy of this book which came out between 1866 and 1871 is very rare, and the only copy that I have access to is in Edinburgh University Library (Strangely enough not in the New College Library which has only the 1915 et seq edition). Don't hold your breath but I'll put the source of Stewart's LLB on my to do list the next time I'm at the main library.
