I am new to this list and have Pennington ancestors in Lancashire UK and the States, plus two brick walls! 1. Stephen Pennington b.Myerscough, Lancashire. Aged 54yrs in the Preston 1861 census. m.to Mary Shepherd.Six children are listed. He was a Blacksmith, who died in Preston in 1874 aged 66yrs. I cannot find him or his parents in the OPR's. 2. Two of old Stephens great grandchildren went from Lancashire to St. Louis (?Missouri) with their Mother, after their Father,Thomas Pennington (b.1869 Preston) died in the early 1900's Prudence and Dick (?Richard) Pennington were b. between 1888 - 1891 in Lancashire UK. Their Mother was Emma (m.s.?Whitfield) Nothing more was heard from them. This came from oral family history years ago. If anybody has any data on these folk, I'd be delighted to hear from them. Jean.
