Rene'e, I don't know why, but I just received your message here at almost Midnight. I was out tonight and came in and got busy with something else and didn't see History Detectives. Maybe next time. Hi Maxine, It was wonderful. They investigated the first monopoly game which was originally patented by a woman (yea - a women) and was invented to keep alive the movement against capitalism. The post cards from WWII where from a Japanese man (author and artist) who was encamped in Tule Camp in CA during the war. The investigators eventually found him living in WA. Also a walking cane handed down through a family was supposedly given to this man's 4th grandfather that was on the Lewis and Clark expedition. The program is commercial free and every minute of it, you learn something. Between the reports, one of the investigators gives tips on researching different aspects of a mystery. They also have a website with great investigative techniques. www.historydetectives.org . Last year was the first year for the program. It was also the first program I thought was worthly of my modest donation to PBS> Although they have a number of great programs but this program was close to my heart and was like icing on the cake. I'll try to remember to remind everyone earlier next Monday.
