The U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT) has created a National Cyber Alert System that you can sign up for and receive e-mail notices of computer threats such as viruses and worms. You can sign up to receive "... timely information about current and emerging threats and vulnerabilities as well as advice about protecting your computer and networks."
